Where do all the stars play?
Byron Bay of course!
A plethora of internationally renowned celebrities are choosing Byron Bay as a hideaway, Chris Hemsworth, Simon Baker and more recently Bernard Fanning from Powderfinger are claiming there spaces here.
For years we’ve known what this amazing place has to offer, but popularity is increasing with an estimated 1.7 million visitors per year. With tourism on the rise, Byron has become one of the most visited destinations in Australia.
This isn’t surprising. Byron Bay boasts beautiful beaches, is Australia’s most easterly point, it has a special uniqueness all on its own and provides a creative and relaxed environment that enables you to slow down and enjoy. The town is ever evolving. The council is about to implement the new masterplan that includes redesigning the foreshore parkland and placing priority on pedestrian access in the town centre.
Don’t think it just stops at Byron either, in the hinterland behind are many local towns such as Mullumbimby, Bangalow, Newrybar and Federal, all of them in growth phase and boosting amazing food, coffee and local arts. The nearby seaside hamlet of Brunswick Heads is growing in popularity as an alternative to Byron and is also home to the 2015 Regional Restaurant of the Year ‘FLEET’. I get more excited about the food scene in the Byron Region than in Sydney.
It’s no wonder this is my preferred working destination. With so much inspiration, designing spaces comes naturally!
